Andy’s foundation in the commercial real estate business comes from his years working in the real estate department at Lamar Advertising. Ultimately becoming the Baton Rouge based publicly traded company’s Corporate Real Estate manager, Andy’s duties included oversite of its lease portfolio, construction management, and real property acquisition and disposition. With annual capital budgets averaging $10 million and a small staff, Andy’s work acquiring property and building new plant sites was immense. Lamar’s lease portfolio included approximately 150 buildings around the country and an annual lease expense of $15 million. Managing this size portfolio provided valuable experience in Andy’s future tenant representation work.
Prior to starting his career in commercial real estate brokerage, Andy also worked for a local architecture firm who served as the program manager for a rapidly expanding quick service restaurant chain. Andy’s responsibilities for included facilitating preliminary site sketches, pre-development due diligence, and design team management. Andy’s communication skills proved invaluable in coordinating with the in house development team, design consultants, and governing officials.
Prior to becoming a partner in Momentum Commercial Real Estate, Andy worked for Beau Box Commercial Real estate for 5 years. His previous experience provided a smooth transition into commercial real estate brokerage and afforded Andy much success at Beau Box CRE, quickly joining the ranks of the company’s top 10 producers at the large, multi-office firm.
At Momentum, Andy still counts Lamar Advertising as one of his largest clients and works across the country for them. Andy also represents local developers and users and feels his strong suit is working in the industrial sector.
Andy is married to Julie McCall and together they have a 6-year-old son. Outside of work Andy volunteers his time with St. James Episcopal Church, its day school, and Capital Area CASA.
